Dr Albert Tiu is a urological surgeon with extensive training and experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques such as laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgery. Besides general urology, he has special interests and expertise in urinary tract and kidney stone disease, and in particular the treatment and management of all Genitourinary Cancers (Prostate/ Bladder/ Kidney/ Testes/ Penis/ Adrenal Gland).


Dr Tiu received his medical degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney in 1999 and completed his advanced urological training in various hospitals in New South Wales, Australia. After receiving full accreditation from the Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Urology to practice as a specialist in Australia, Dr Tiu further undertook a highly acclaimed Robotic Uro-oncology fellowship training at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea with Professor Koon Rha at the Severance Hospital. He then pursued another prestigious urological oncology fellowship training at the University of Miami, Florida, USA along side world renowned uro-oncology surgeons Professor Mark Soloway, Professor Murugesan Manoharan and Professor Dipen Parekh.

Dr Tiu works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals (Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Psychologists, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists & GPs) to achieve a high standard of healthcare for his patients. He is one of the founding members of the “Complex Pelvic Oncology Group”, teaming up with Colorectal and Gynae-oncological Surgeons to provide highly specialised care for Complex Pelvic Cancer surgery.
