I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Dr Stephen Brindley BSc (Hons), B Med FRACS (Ortho) FAOrtho to the greater Hunter Region. I have a well established and popular practice in Newcastle and I am Fellowship trained in the UK.

I specialise in all types of surgery from the shoulder to the hand, including:

• Arthroscopic procedures
• Joint replacement
• Trauma
• Complex reconstructive procedures
• Peripheral nerve procedures
• Routine and complex hand problems
• Microsurgical procedures.

I am available to see adult and paediatric problems, private patients, Workcover, sports injury and uninsured patients. I also assist with the management of chronic pain patients.

It is inevitable that there are sometimes different views on surgical and non-surgical procedures. That is why I am always transparent in laying out all of the information clearly, so that patients can make an informed choice about what is best for them.
