Dr Vimalan Ambikaipaker is a staff specialist with expertise in Gastroenterology/Hepatology and General Medicine. He joined Lingard Medical Centre and Maitland Private Hospital in 2015.

Dr. Vimalan Ambikaipaker graduated from University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1999 and has been a staff specialist with HNEHEALTH since 2014. Dr Ambikaipaker trained in the Hunter from 2001 to 2014 in the field of Gastroenterology and General Medicine, then completed his post fellow-ship training at the AW Morrow Gastroenterology and Liver Centre, Royal Prince Alfred, Sydney, in the field of Hepatology and Liver Transplantation.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a conjoint lecturer of the University of Newcastle.
