Lingard launches latest Operating Theatre technology

Lingard Private has become the first hospital in New South Wales to introduce the latest Stryker 1788 operating platform.

The latest Stryker 1788 and iSuite platform has recently been launched in Operating Theatres 1 & 2 at Lingard Private Hospital.

Lingard becomes the first site in New South Wales (and the first regional site in Australia) to have this latest technology, which includes replacement of the booms, HEPA filter systems, operating lights, integrated image system and vinyl.

The upgrade was completed in just 12 days, with no interruption to the theatre, thanks to the teams from Medicus and Stryker working around the clock.

“The 1788 Platform is our most sophisticated and comprehensive surgical visualisation solution for use in multiple specialties. The 1788 features vibrant images, improved ease of use and enhanced fluorescence imaging capabilities, designed for clearer visualisation of perfusion and critical anatomy - when it matters most” - Stryker Statement.

The new theatres have been back in action for over a week, with the Operating Theatre teams appreciating the clarity of the images on the new monitors and the ease of use of the new rooms.

We're proud to be leading the way in Operating Theatre technology, improving the experience of staff and patients for years to come.
