Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures

Lingard Cardiology Service was established in 2013 in response to the increasing need for quality private cardiology services in the Newcastle and Hunter region. This premier Cardiac service brings together the expertise of locally based Cardiologists, an experienced team of cardiac professionals, and is perfectly positioned to deliver care to our growing population in Newcastle, Maitland, the Upper Hunter and Mid North Coast.

Cardiac Catheter Lab

The Cardiac Catheter Lab specialises in a comprehensive range of procedures, with specialist cardiologists providing rapid diagnosis of heart disease by angiography. Once diagnosed, some specific heart diseases can be treated under local anaesthetic using some of the most up-to-date non-surgical treatment available, including balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting and pacemaker implantation.

Coronary Care

Coronary Care is a 12 bed critical care area, with advanced monitoring equipment and facilities to manage patients with cardiac conditions or those that have undergone cardiac interventional treatment. The unit is staffed with cardiac specialist nurses who are committed to supporting both patient and carer individual psychosocial needs.

Rapid Access Cardiac Testing

Our team of professionals are on call to provide timely cardiac care. Healthe Heart, our cardiac support service located within Lingard Private Hospital, provides patients with direct access to our service and cardiac specialists - with bulk billing available on a range of investigations such as Stress Echo, Angiogram and Holter Monitors.
