We offer both inpatient and day program rehabilitation, helping you to return to daily life sooner.
Lingard Rehabilitation Service provides specialist treatment for patients requiring rehabilitation after an admission to hospital for medical illness or surgical procedure.
Direct admission from home may also be arranged through referral by your GP or Specialist Doctor. Once we receive the referral from your doctor, we will be in touch with you to advise of your admission date.

What to Bring
Because our aim is to help you to return to your optimal independence, you will need to dress in day clothes during the day, but also bring nightwear and toiletries.
You will need comfortable, closed in shoes (joggers). Remember to bring any walking aids that you usually use.
You will need to bring all of your usual medications (including your usual pain relief).
Please bring any relevant imaging eg; X-rays, CT scans, MRI or Ultrasound films.
The Program Format
The therapy team run group activities daily. These groups cover a wide range of topics, giving you a broad overview of strategies to use during your recovery. The therapy team also devise individual therapy programs, adjusted to your needs and progress.

Lingard offers comfortable single and shared accommodation, with ensuites. All your meals are catered for throughout your stay.
How long will I be in Rehabilitation?
Your Rehabilitation program will usually vary from 2-14 days, depending on your progress. Discharge planning by the team (in consultation with you) begins early in the admission to ensure that you have the most appropriate follow-up when you are discharged from hospital.
Cost
In most cases, the cost of your Inpatient Rehabilitation Program will be covered by your Private Health Fund, DVA or Workers Compensation Provider.
What happens after I leave Lingard Private Hospital?
A range of rehabilitation programs are offered through our S.Co.Re Program located at our brand new gymnasium complex at 12 Mitchell Street, Merewether.
